Question by Kchen1114: How to control my overactive dog when he goes outside?
I have a Maltese-Poodle that is smart, but very very uncontrollable when he goes out. I want to start taking them out on morning and afternoon walks so they can do their potty business on the grass outside. But once he leaves the door, he’ll dash forward and let the leash strangle his neck to the point he’s choking. I read about correcting dog’s behaviors, but I can’t find a “reward” that will take away his focus to dash forward. Please help.
