Question by L.: How long after birth of puppies can the female get fixed?
My female Chihuahua just had 6 puppies and now we want to get her fixed. I don’t want to do it too soon because she is still nursing. Puppies are now 4 weeks old.

my grandmas dog recently had puppys too 
I’d ask a vet this question when you bring the puppies in to have them checked around the 6 week mark.
