Why is my dog shedding soo much?

Question by Angel T: Why is my dog shedding soo much?
I’m not sure if it’s just the heat or if there’s an actual problem with her. She’s a Sheltie about 5 years of age and for the past couple of days she’s been shedding a lot and there are clots of fur that you can literally just pull off…if it doesn’t just fall off on it’s own…and her skins been dry as well. Lately it’s been in the 80s outside but she’s usually inside where it’s around 70 or so. help? suggestions?
