I just found out my little sister’s dog is pregnate, and I’m the one who’s going to have to take care of it. She is due any day now, and is expecting a not-so-easy delivery because either the litter is huge, or the puppies are huge. We’re really not sure. My parents aren’t going to take her to the vet unless she is in labor and having problems. I’ve already cleaned her bowls, dog house, and toys and removed the other dog from her pen. Other than watching her very carefully, is there anything else I should do?
They’ve said “She’s not coming in the house.”
We were expecting her to deliver today since she is now almost a week overdue. Her milk has only come in the back but not in the front. She’s still eating. I don’t get it. What’s taking so long?
She had them today. There are at least seven (it’s hard to count when she’s in front of half of them). She’s fine and they’re fine.

I feed him one big bowl of Dry Dog Mix, usually RoyalCanine German Shepherd Mix but for some time now I have been giving him different types of Pedigree Mixes for large breeds. I only feed him in the mornings but with a large portion because he has the habit to look and sniff our food, so I have to re-teach him that that’s not okay. Is this enough food for him. I would say I give him around 8 scoops of his mix which is quite a lot, around 8 cups or so. Is that enough?

By four weeks (so not long now) you should be mixing puppy food with warm water until it is like a gruel and be feeding them that, along with them still having their mum’s milk.

I have a German Pinscher who on occasion seems to lunge/bark/growl at certain dogs for no apparent reason especially when the other dog is being restrained from him. Also this behaviour is sometimes seen when a noticebly submissive dog is around. He seems to bully the more submissive dog… Also note he has never actually attacked or bitten another dog. Should we be concerned with this behavior, if so how can we prevent it?

We have coved all the bases…plywood wind breaks, nice dog house off the ground, small amount of heat (anything more he sleep outside his dog house) hay ect. Just want to know how to keep it clean? If i missed anything to keep him warm and happy.

I have a 10 month only micro pomeranian. She has never been in heat before but has all of the symptoms. Her vulva has swelled a lot, and her nipples are slightly bigger and pink. She keeps cleaning herself a lot as well, and sleeping more. Other than that I see no changes. My concern is that it is about day 5 of her vulva being swollen and she has not started bleeding yet. Is this normal? How long does it normally take? Can it be something other than her first heat?

I found a stray last month and he was so well behaved. But now he’s acting so bad. He’s urinating ALL over my house ( I walk him three times a day 30 minutes each walk ) and he keeps harassing my dog. He tries to hump my dog and it always ends up in a fight. I have no choice but to tie him next to his bed. Once I leave the room he starts barking, crying, pulling and misbehaving. He has a favorite towel which I gave to him but he ripped it up the night before… I just don’t know what to do, & at nighy he howls and howls its a huge frustration for me. Please help I don’t wanna give him up because I rescued him from the streests I want him to live a happy doggy life
