Question by amruden: How to keep a dog kennel clean with snow and ice?
I have a Husky/lab mix. We have kept him outside all year, however this will be his 1st winter. We have coved all the bases…plywood wind breaks, nice dog house off the ground, small amount of heat (anything more he sleep outside his dog house) hay ect. Just want to know how to keep it clean? If i missed anything to keep him warm and happy.

I know it is BEST to keep him INSIDE. He is a working dog. So he is not “jailed” all day.

I dont know any apart from going toilet in the house and pulling on the lead when walking.

I need to know for a creative writing thing I am doing to post on my tumblr but I am stumped with bad behaviour.
I havent seen Marley & Me and my own dog went to training classes and is an all round behaved dog.

The one thing that really gets to me is a dog who constantly whines!! Especially when there’s no obvious reason for this……………..

My dog has allergies and it was reccomended I feed him grain free food. But my parents dont want to spend a lot of money for his dog food. I know that grain free is really good food, and it wont be cheap. But of them all, which grain free food is the cheapest? If i cant find something cheap enough, he will not be able to change foods and I feel bad.

I have a 10 month only micro pomeranian. She has never been in heat before but has all of the symptoms. Her vulva has swelled a lot, and her nipples are slightly bigger and pink. She keeps cleaning herself a lot as well, and sleeping more. Other than that I see no changes. My concern is that it is about day 5 of her vulva being swollen and she has not started bleeding yet. Is this normal? How long does it normally take? Can it be something other than her first heat?

I found a stray last month and he was so well behaved. But now he’s acting so bad. He’s urinating ALL over my house ( I walk him three times a day 30 minutes each walk ) and he keeps harassing my dog. He tries to hump my dog and it always ends up in a fight. I have no choice but to tie him next to his bed. Once I leave the room he starts barking, crying, pulling and misbehaving. He has a favorite towel which I gave to him but he ripped it up the night before… I just don’t know what to do, & at nighy he howls and howls its a huge frustration for me. Please help I don’t wanna give him up because I rescued him from the streests I want him to live a happy doggy life
